Introducing…
My story: I’m an investment banker…technically. I graduated from a premier New England university about a year ago. My alma mater is known for many things, but fashion is not its forte. Consequently, I did the same thing as an absurd number of my classmates…I moved to NY and took a job in investment banking. Since moving here about year ago, I’ve been inspired to rediscover the creative being that I shamefully neglected for four long years in college. My medium of choice: fashion. I love New York for its progressive and diverse senses of style, and the general idgaf (an acronym for “I don’t give a f***, which you will find I use excessively) attitude of its population. Due to a lack of any prior exposure to the fashion world, my transition from banker to financier to fashionisto is slower than I would prefer. So, I currently reside in this conflicted state of purgatory…as a New Yorker that works on Wall Street, but lives in Williamsburg (I’m pretty sure I’m the only one…). Join me as I chronicle my struggles of balancing 100 hour work weeks, with my attempts to pry my way into the exclusive world of high fashion.
